Operational Dashboard - Internship
The topic of this bachelor's thesis is the development and implementation of an "Operational Dashboard" for Resillion (formerly Eurofins Digital Testing). This dashboard is designed to aggregate and visualize operational data from different platforms such as Jira, Azure and SonarQube/SonarCloud, providing actionable insights into the company's performance and efficiency. The focus is on integrating these data sources and creating a user-friendly and customizable interface for analyzing business intelligence.
The project was carried out using a development-oriented approach, applying various methods and technologies, such as Kibana for visualization and dashboarding, and integrations with Microsoft Teams for generating alerts. Development of the dashboard included setting up data connections, configuring visualizations, and developing a flexible and customizable interface for displaying the data.
The results of this project include a successfully implemented Operational Dashboard that provides insight into various aspects of operations, such as the number of open tickets, tickets that have been open for some time, overviews of pipelines and agent statuses, and results of Sonar-analyses. The dashboard is optimized for ease of use and customizability, and allows users to gain insights that can help them make decisions.
The conclusion of this thesis is that the Operational Dashboard is a valuable tool for Resillion, allowing the company to efficiently analyze and monitor its operational data. It provides an integrated and user-friendly solution for tracking business performance and identifying potential areas for improvement.
For future research and recommendations, it is suggested to further develop the dashboard with additional data sources and visualizations, increase customizability and user interaction capabilities, and optimize the dashboard's performance and efficiency. In addition, best practices in dashboarding and data analysis can be explored to further improve the usability and effectiveness of the Operational Dashboard.
